Direct therapy- with child and parent/caregiver: $50-$75 (30-45 minute session)

Play-based therapy session with your child, including parent coaching and discussion. Family goals for the child will be identified during the first session. These sessions are hands-on, interactive and playful, using materials in the home or selected items provided by the therapist. Parents/caregivers are participants in activities. Family carryover of strategies is essential for success for any skills that are addressed.

Targeted skills may include things like- sharing attention in play, lengthening attention span, tolerating a range of emotions, waiting, handling anger and frustration, engaging in longer back and forth interactions, expanding play skills, and sharing ideas through different communication channels. Skill development for deaf and hard of hearing children may also include specific auditory skill development, overall language development, cognitive skills, or ASL development.

Functional-Emotional Developmental Capacities (FEDCs) are addressed using the DIR/Floortime model (“Floortime Therapy”). Assessment of skill development using the DIR/Floortime Model and other assessments are utilized as needed.
